Would you like to be paid to work with the Cornell Farmworker Program while conducting research and educational outreach to address the needs of farmworkers in New York State?

Internship research topics include: -Conducting research to assess farmworker needs -Providing on-farm workshops including: English as a Second Language, Chemical Safety, and Emergency Planning -Surveying farmworker services and their usage -Examining farmworker perspectives on labor issues -Canvassing immigration concerns and developing relevant extension materials

Application process

Set up a meeting with Mary Jo Dudley, Director of the Cornell Farmworker Program (farmworkers@cornell.edu), to discuss internship opportunities and your areas of interest. Please include possible meeting dates and times upon initial request. After meeting with the Director, submit your resume (including name, local and home address, telephone number, and email address) with a cover letter outlining:  Area of interest (both topic and geographic interest)  Skills and strengths you will bring to the internship program  Proposed activities to be performed  Proposed learning goals  Proposed methods for evaluating your work  Provide three letters of recommendation.  Submit your official transcript. Submit a hard copy of CFP internship application materials by March 5, 2012
