Student Reflections
National Scholars participate in programs that further their leadership abilities. They have the opportunity to network with distinguished alumni and engage in activities the scholars themselves design to expand their leadership skills. The following are reflections from recent National Scholars about their experiences with the organization.

"MFCNS has really showed me how much students can actually change this university. From having an executive mentor that is the Dean of Students to presenting our new student/upperclassmen interaction group findings at the freshmen forum to top level faculty, i can really see how even just one student like myself can help make Cornell a better place."

"I am glad to be a part of the MFCNS program. It has provided me opportunities and networks that I never would have imagined, and has greatly helped with the transition into my first year. It has also allowed me to meet some all-around great people that come from all different places and have many diverse interests that I may not have otherwise met."

"The MFCNS program is a great opportunity finder for students interested in developing their leadership skills. Not only is there room for involvement within the organization, but MFCNS also opens gates to a variety of different activities through the alumni connections, guest speakers, and its promotion of events held by other organizations as well. In a large community like Cornell, MFCNS helps ensure that the great leadership and motivation that gets students into Cornell, continues to be nurtured."
- Jessica Rosenthal '05
"MFCNS has provided me with the opportunity to connect with a small group of people immediately upon arrival on campus. I am thankful for the ability to solidify my leadership skills through CCLEAD. In short MFCNS has given me invaluable opportunities, from stipends for internships to lifelong friendships."
