Revati Athavale

My name is Revati Athavale. I'm from Mechanicsburg, PA, and I'm a sophomore studying Computer Science in the College of Engineering with a minor in Business. On campus, I'm part of Women in Computing at Cornell (WICC) as a member of its Photo and Film Committee, and I am a member of The Steminist Movement at Cornell. As a Meinig Scholar, I've been able to meet and learn from campus leaders, and I've also had the opportunity to give back to the Cornell community.

Amaris Janel Richardson-Minor

I’m Amaris Janel Richardson-Minor and I’m a senior from the borderland of El Paso, TX. At Cornell, I study Performing & Media Arts with a minor in Creative Writing. I have been a contributing writer and editor for Slope Media, an on-campus magazine, since January 2018. In the past, I have worked as a copywriter for The Cornellian Yearbook and a communications assistant for the College of Arts & Sciences. I recently studied abroad in Auckland, New Zealand at the University of Auckland where I served as a social media ambassador and a student representative for the university’s undergraduate poetry course. Within my department, I work as the Public Relations Chair for Cornell’s Ambassadors for Media & Performance (CAMP). Through the Meinig Scholars program, I have had the wonderful opportunity to be mentored by Dean of Admissions Shawn Felton for two years and participate in a slew of other great activities. I’m excited to be a board member this year because Meinig has never failed to open doors for me and other students. It reminds me that I belong here at Cornell.
