Ryan T. Lombardi, Ed.D.

Dr. Ryan Lombardi serves as the Vice President for Student and Campus Life at Cornell University. The Division of Student and Campus Life provides a broad array of programs and services designed to support students and the campus community, including Athletics and Physical Education, Office of the Dean of Students, Campus and Community Engagement, Cornell Health, Campus Life Enterprise Services, Cornell Career Services, and the Office of the Vice President. The Division is comprised of over 1,200 staff and has an annual operating budget of more than $260 million.

Prior to joining Cornell in August 2015, Dr. Lombardi served as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Ohio University. He has also worked at Duke University and Colorado College.
Dr. Lombardi received an undergraduate degree in Music Education from West Chester University and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas. He completed a doctorate in Higher Education Administration at North Carolina State University.

Ryan resides in Ithaca, NY with his wife Dr. Kara Lombardi, an Assistant Dean in Cornell’s ILR School, and his two daughters.
